Hello! We are looking for some fellow creatives to share our art studio!

The studio is a shared creative space, and we want to create a dynamic and potentially collaborative atmosphere with other like-minded people. After many years of having studios on my own, I am excited to share a space where we can see and be inspired by each other's work.

We are open to people working in any creative field!

About the available workspaces:

We have two mid-sized workspaces available, or they could be combined into one larger space. They are available starting immediately, and located right next to Spittelau in the Alte WU building, Augasse 2-6, 1090 Vienna.

  • Size: approximately 15m2 each (or 30m2 for one larger space)

  • Price: €285 a month all included, plus a €50 security deposit for a key (or €550 for 30m2)

  • Notice Period: one month notice period

  • Access: 24 hour access, including weekends

  • Features:

    • large windows

    • wifi, air conditioning, heating and utilities included

    • shared fridge / small kitchen area (there is an additional communal kitchen in the hallway on the floor)

    • some furniture (desk and shelving) with the possibility to get more free furniture from the building

Also, I use the first room to teach art courses and private lessons a few days a week, and the private workspaces are accessible by walking through the "teaching area" into the main larger room.

About us:

I, Abby, moved into this space together with my partner and fellow artist, Patrick. We loved the light from the windows, location, and environment in the building with many other artists and creative organizations.

Right now there are four of us in the studio:

  • 3 visual artists (working in various media such as installation, video, painting and drawing, collaborative projects, digital art, etc.)

  • one writer who comes part time to work on a novel

  • also one studio pooch, Klaus the mini schnauzer (he is hypoallergenic and very friendly, and you will have his eternal devotion if you throw his ball for him)

How to apply or get more information:

If the space sounds like it could fit what you are looking for, please get in touch! We can answer any questions or set up a time to meet each other and show you the space!

While we don't envision the space being used as an "office", we are open to people working in any creative field who would use the space for creative projects.
