Ongoing weekly sessions with an open and flexible structure. Students can drop in for individual sessions or purchase a block of sessions, which allows for scheduling flexibility for those who can't make it each week for one of the more structured courses.
These sessions are designed to work with each student on a one-on-one basis with either painting or drawing and is open for all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced students. Beginner students will go through a series of projects to develop the fundamental skills for creating successful paintings or drawings, learning about tone, color theory, rendering, depth, paint layering, mark-making and composition. Intermediate and advanced students will refine their skills and explore more experimental techniques to take their art to the next level.
It is an open class structure, where students will have the choice of what direction they want to focus on in their artwork. The instructor will give constructive feedback on a one-on-one basis with each student as they develop their artwork. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of subjects and approaches in this class, and it can be catered to fit the needs of each individual student.
